As Point HOTEL Management A.Ş. (hereinafter referred to as the “HOTEL”), within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the “KVKK”), we process the personal data of our HOTEL visitors in our capacity as Data Controller.

This notice has been prepared for the purpose of informing you, pursuant to Article 10 of the KVKK, regarding the personal data processed during your visit to the HOTEL, including our purposes of processing personal data, the parties to whom and the purposes for which personal data are transferred, the methods and legal grounds of processing, and your rights as a data subject.

2) SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

This notice covers individuals whose personal data are processed by being recorded in the HOTEL Visitor Log, including persons who visit the HOTEL on a daily basis without staying overnight or being HOTEL personnel.

3) PROCESSED PERSONAL DATA AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

The categories of personal data processed for daily HOTEL visitors and the purposes of processing are listed below.

Personal Data Categories And Purpose:​

Identity Information: Name – Surname, Turkish ID Number
To prevent unauthorized entry and exit to the HOTEL and to ensure security.

Contact Information: Telephone Number
To enable communication with visitors in urgent and important situations during the visit and to ensure security.

Camera Footage: Cameras located within the HOTEL
To ensure the physical security of the HOTEL premises, protect the legitimate interests of the employer, safeguard the life and property of guests, employees, daily visitors, and third parties, and to obtain evidence suitable for use in potential disputes.

Vehicle Plate Information
To create and monitor visitor records and to control entry and exit to the HOTEL.

4) PARTIES TO WHOM PERSONAL DATA MAY BE TRANSFERRED

Your personal data may be transferred domestically or abroad in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and for the purposes stated below.

5) PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Pursuant to Article 12 of the KVKK, the HOTEL takes all necessary technical and administrative measures to prevent unlawful processing, unauthorized access, and to ensure the protection and security of personal data.

Administrative Measures:

• KVKK Awareness Trainings: Periodic trainings are provided to HOTEL staff to ensure compliance with current KVKK legislation and principles.

• Authorization Matrix: Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel who require such access.

• Data Retention and Destruction Policy: Personal data are retained for specified periods and are periodically deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with the HOTEL’s Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy.

Technical Measures:

• Physical Security: Physical archives and server rooms where data are stored are protected against natural disasters such as fire, flood, and earthquake, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

6) METHODS AND LEGAL GROUNDS FOR COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data are collected during your visit to the HOTEL through the Visitor Log and via security cameras.​

• Identity Information: Collected manually by recording data in the Visitor Log during the HOTEL visit.
  Legal Ground: Article 5/2(f) of the KVKK – processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed.

• Contact Information: Collected manually via the Visitor Log during the visit.
  Legal Ground: Article 5/2(f) of the KVKK.

• Camera Footage: Collected automatically through HOTEL security cameras during the visit.

8) RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, data subjects have the right to:

a) Learn whether personal data are processed,
b) Request information if personal data have been processed,
c) Learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used in accordance with this purpose,
ç) Know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad,
d) Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data,
e) Request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions stipulated in Article 7,
f) Request notification of transactions made pursuant to (d) and (e) to third parties to whom personal data have been transferred,
g) Object to the occurrence of a result against the data subject by analyzing data exclusively through automated systems,
ğ) Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of personal data.

You may submit your requests regarding your personal data in writing to Kocatepe, Topçu St. No:2, 34437 Beyoğlu / Istanbul, or via e-mail to kvkkpointtaksim@pointhotel.com. Your requests will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days, depending on the nature of the request.

This Privacy Notice may be revised by the HOTEL when deemed necessary.
